Things most parents take for granted

I made a list recently of things that I no longer have, but most parents don’t really appreciate. How many do you recognize in yourself?

–Hearing your kid sneeze without wondering if they will end up in the hospital
–Being able to use your vacation days for vacation, not doctor appointments
–Using your speed dial for family and friends, not doctors and pharmacies
–Going to bed without having to consider whether your child got their injection/medications
–Being unsure how to get to the closest ER
–Spelling your name for the pharmacist
–Buying a car without considering if it will hold a wheelchair
–Being blissfully unaware of all the ways a chronic illness can change every facet of your life
